TERRADON Corporation is seeking a full-time Environmental Scientist with demonstrated experience and knowledge with Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, Wetland Delineations, Waters of the U.S. determinations, 401 & 404 Permitting, mitigation plans associated with wetland and stream disturbance, and Erosion & Sediment Design and NPDES Permitting. The position will primarily work from the corporate headquarters office in Poca, WV reporting to the Environmental Department.
Successful candidate will have superior writing, time management, and organizational skills and the ability to independently perform environmental tasks on a variety of public and private projects.
Key tasks include drafting proposals and work plans, leading document preparation in a team environment and participating in client meetings to support the planning, design, and approval of site improvements for land development projects.
Job Duties :

- Technical report writing
- Field and explorative site visits throughout West Virginia and surrounding areas (as-needed)
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Landscape Architecture, Engineering, or related fields
- Minimum 2 years experience
- Experience in evaluating environmental regulatory cases such as AST, UST, LUST, State Hazardous Wastes, CERCLIS, and NPL sites is expected, as well as a solid working knowledge of ASTM 1527-13
- Familiarity with wetland delineations, USACE 404 rules and waters of the US Delineation in accordance with the Army Corps Manual and Regional Supplements
- Excellent writing skills, along with the ability to compile reports electronically for delivery to clients
- Must be a self-starter, resourceful, and have the ability to work productively on multiple projects simultaneously under strict deadlines
- Experience with Phase II Subsurface Investigations and/or Remediation Work (preferred, not required)
- Current asbestos inspector, and/or lead-based paint certification (preferred, not required)
