Position Overview:

TERRADON Corporation is seeking a motivated Survey Party Crew Chief to lead field survey operations throughout West Virginia and Virginia. We are looking for a professional who takes pride in delivering accurate work, leading by example, and maintaining a strong commitment to safety and client service.

Extensive surveying experience is preferred; however, we will consider candidates with varying levels of experience who demonstrate strong technical ability, leadership potential, and a desire to grow within our organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct field survey crews on a variety of projects including boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, construction layout, utility, transportation, and infrastructure surveys.
• Operate GPS, robotic total stations, digital levels, data collectors, and other modern survey equipment.
• Ensure field data is accurate, complete, and properly documented.
• Coordinate daily field activities with project managers and office staff.
• Maintain survey equipment and company vehicles.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Travel throughout West Virginia and Virginia as project needs require.

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive surveying experience preferred.
• Experience leading survey crews.
• Proficiency with GPS, robotic total stations, data collectors, and modern survey equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, construction drawings, and legal descriptions.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
