Tom Kittredge

With deep and broad experience in every facet of project management, Tom provides his expertise to Terradon and its sister company, Kanawha Stone Company, Inc. As the former President of Terradon, Tom has plenty of experience with collaborating with his project management team to achieve far-reaching and ambitious milestones again and again. With a BA in both Mass Communications and Philosophy, Tom brings something unique to every discussion. And with over 22 years of management experience, he understands the anatomy of a successful project.


Chris Hancock

Chris Hancock is a Geotechnical Project Manager at TERRADON. Hancock’s skills and abilities include AutoCAD, foundation design, designs using Geosynthetic Materials, MSE wall design, and groundwater and seepage control. As an Geotechnical Engineer and Geo/Environmental team member, Hancock applies environmental and geologic skills to engineering uses; on-site geotechnical drilling representative, interprets various borehole data (e.g., bulk density, groundwater monitoring, gamma ray, etc.); and collects various field data; lab testing experience. He is proficient in various software programs related to scientific study, including Civil3D. Chris offers more than 10 years of geotechnical project expertise to the TERRADON team.

Joe Carte, PE

Joe's role at TERRADON Corporation is to provide senior-level review, training, and assists with the day-to-day tasks and geotechnical decisions.  Joe brings 35 years of diverse geotechnical experience and is a registered Civil Engineer.  He has provided heavy foundation design for bridges, towers, and tanks throughout his career.  Joe's experience as the Geotechnical Group Leader with the WVDOH Materials Division gives him insights into the state’s guidelines, the LRFD Code, and the statewide geology.  Some of Joe’s accomplishments while at the WVDOH include standardizing the estimation of bearing resistance for bridges, developing the PSSLOPE software, training staff, revising the piling specification, and championing the GRS-IBS abutments for the FHWA Every Day Counts initiative.  Joe has routinely volunteered for the West Point Bridge Contest and enjoys training students in the use of the software in schools. John is a Senior Geotechnical Engineer for various dam, landslide, foundation investigation/design, transportation, environmental, site selection, and mining projects. He has more than 48 years of experience practicing engineering in WV and surrounding states. John specializes in innovative and cost-saving concepts for his projects.  Coupled with his hands on common sense approach to projects, he works with many of the accepted geotechnical and other engineering software applications for latest technical solutions


Dave Brown, PS

Dave Brown, PS directs and performs work for public and private clients.  Brown provides hydrographic, geodetic, boundary, control, ALTA and as-built surveys, roadway design/right of way projects, FEMA flood surveys and more. Brown’s responsibilities include survey project management, GPS networks, geodetic surveys, subdivision design, development of highway Right-of-Way Plans, boundary solutions, reports, courthouse research, drafting, construction staking, survey data reduction, and preparation of surveying cost estimates, proposals and reports.

Eric Dean Cook, PE

Eric offers more than 27 years of experience in the construction and design engineering industries. Day-to-day, Eric provides strategic direction in the form of consulting and finance for both Terradon Corporation and Kanawha Stone Company. Most notably, he’s involved in all of Terradon’s public-private partnerships as well as their design-build pursuits. He also keeps his finger on the pulse of the company and provides deep insight into the well-being of the firm.


Warren Friend

Warren Friend is a Field Services Project Manager at TERRADON Corporation, and additionally oversees operations from TERRADON's Washington, PA office location. Friend offers more than 6 years experience to the industry, and has a background in geologic sciences and construction inspection and management.
