WVDOT Mossy Bridge Replacement

TERRADON Corporation was contracted to develop construction plans for the new replacement bridge for WV 612 over Paint Creek.  The new bridge will be slightly upstream on an improved horizontal alignment. Complex geometry and the adjacent tie to County Route 15, along with one dwelling in close proximity created unique challenges for the project which had to be accommodated by the design team.

TERRADON provided a cost estimate and bridge inspection report recommending a new structure be located upstream from the existing location. The new design includes a single span, semi-integral steel bridge approximately 120LF. TERRADON performed all necessary hydrology, hydraulic studies, and scour analysis.
